Swimming, Surfing, Fishing, and Kayaking in Fiji
Taveuni is a South Seas island, surrounded by other topical islands and world-class reefs. Non-divers can snorkel, swim, fish, boat, surf or simply stroll along the reef at low tide.
Swimming
Guests choosing to relax at the resort may enjoy the extensive gardens and 12-meter fresh water swimming pool - one of the largest in Fiji. The short path from the resort to the beach immediately below Nakia provides access to the clear waters of the Somosomo Strait with its stunning reef and sea life. The nearby Prince Charles Beach is sandy with shallow waters extending out to the reef. For a change of pace, guests may wish to bike to Waimakare Campground, to picnic and swim in their large free-form swimming pool in a natural river bed.
Fishing
Try your luck with wahoo, yellowfin, skipjack, giant trevally and barracuda that frequent the waters around Taveuni.
Surfing
We can take you to outer islands and reefs with good surf breaks.
Kayaking
Explore near-by reefs or visit remote waterfalls and secluded beaches using the resort's sea kayaks.
