Scuba Diving and Snorkeling in Fiji

The best scuba diving in Fiji is a short boat ride from Nakia Resort & Dive, on the Rainbow Reef across the Somosomo Strait. The tidal current and constant year-round water temperature of the Strait are ideal for abundant hard and soft coral and marine life including anemones, reef fish, turtles, and eels. Jean-Michel Cousteau described the Rainbow Reef as "the soft coral capital of the world" and Scuba Diver magazine rated the Reef's White Wall as one of the top ten dive spots in the world.

Wainibula village, on the southeast side of the island, is the gateway to Waitabu Marine Park, another great diving location.

Diving attracted us to Taveuni and we suggest that guests plan to enjoy the magnificent underwater paradise surrounding the island. We anticipate offering in-house diving and snorkeling trips in the future. Until then, we refer guests to excellent dive operators on Taveuni. We have agreements with every local dive shop, catering to all levels of experience from beginning to advanced diving. We will be happy to schedule and arrange transport for your diving and snorkeling trips.

Guests wishing to snorkle near the resort can take the short path down to the beach just below Nakia.
